The Port of Liverpool

We have recently completed an 18 month, £285,000 restoration of all windows within the Grade II listed building, the Port of Liverpool.

Like the windows, this building has been standing for over a century. Designed by Sir Arnold Thornely and F.B. Hobbs and constructed between 1904 and 1907, it sits right next to the two famous liver buildings just on the edge of Liverpool's port.

Opposite, you will see one of the 32 windows situated in the atrium. All of these windows were removed and transported back to our studios for complete re-leading and restoration.

In addition to restoring the glass, we repaired and restored over 150 of the metal casement hoppers and opening windows, which included replicating the original window handles and stays.
